EUROCERT, one of the leading independent certification bodies, reaffirms its commitment to promoting Social Accountability and responsible entrepreneurship by certifying HELLENIC CATERING S.A. and OLYMPIC CATERING S.A., members of the Goody’s-Everest Group, in accordance with the SA 8000:2014 Social Accountability Standard.

HELLENIC CATERING and OLYMPIC CATERING represent the industrial arm of the Goody’s-Everest Group. With more than 50 years of presence in the Greek market and two state-of-the-art production facilities in Attica and Thessaloniki, they specialize in the production of meat products, frozen and chilled meals, salads and dressings, desserts, and bakery items.

With the newly acquired and globally recognized SA 8000 Social Accountability Certification, the companies’ dedication to principles and practices aligned with the highest standards of Social Responsibility is acknowledged — strengthening their social footprint through the continuous improvement of working conditions.

As members of the Goody’s-Everest Group, both companies are fully aligned with the Group’s core strategy to create long-term value for all stakeholders, guided by the principles of sustainable development. Within this framework, the Group integrates the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact into its operations and implements a series of voluntary commitments, demonstrating its strong orientation toward responsible and ethical business conduct at every level.

The SA 8000 Standard is an internationally recognized benchmark within the field of Social Accountability. It was developed by Social Accountability International (SAI) with the aim of setting specific criteria and requirements for socially acceptable working conditions, and it enjoys worldwide recognition and applicability. The standard focuses on upholding labor rights and ensuring fair and safe working environments, while incorporating key international agreements such as the ILO Conventions, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Through its ongoing commitment to promoting responsible business practices, EUROCERT reaffirms its role as a reliable certification partner, supporting organizations in adopting best practices, fostering innovation, and achieving sustainable growth.
